If you like a good spin on a classic– definitely check this one out! The Floradora is a classic cocktail that you might not know, but you should definitely try. It’s a truly fabulous gin drink with its semi-sweet, light, and refreshing flavors combined. But I did want to switch it up with some mezcal to add a smokey flavor to this delicious drink.
Having that smokey flavor in the Floradora calls for a food pairing of Tacos (of any kind of meat/fish) — and the type of tacos that calls for a soft, but toasted flour/corn tortillas with fresh fixings, like cilantro and tomatoes. To me, that sounds like the perfect ‘drunk night in’.
For my visual learners (just like me!), check out my TikTok to see exactly how to make a Smokey Floradora using Mezcal, Lime Juice, Crème de Framboise liqueur (Chambord), and Ginger Ale
Here’s what you need to make your Smokey Floradora
- 1 1/2 ounces mezcal
- 1/2 ounce lime juice (fresh)
- 1/2 ounce crème de framboise liqueur (Chambord)
- Top off with Ginger Ale
Now here’s how to make it…
Pour the gin, lime juice, and framboise into a highball glass filled with ice. Top with ginger ale. Garnish with a lime wedge.
