Hi, I'm mathilde

How are you celebrating Black History Month? For my first post of February, I wanted to highlight black bartenders that have inspired me. Check out my Instagram to see what else I did for Black History Month.

Today I made Sadiyyah Ideen’s signature drink, The Side Show , which definitely takes me back to sunnier times. It totally reminds me of an adult lemonade.

Sadiyyah Ideen is an award winning mixologist who recently was named one of the top Black Female Bartenders in Atlanta by @tales_of_the_cocktail. Sadiyyah now works with @cocktailartists to create simple syrups for cocktails.

Here’s what you need to make The Side Show

  • 2 oz of Spirits (Whiskey, Vodka, or Tequila; I used tequila )
  • 1 oz Simple Syrup
  • 1/4 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1/4 oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • Garnish: Lemon and Lime wheel (or wedge)
The Side Show Cocktail Make it your own Whiskey Bourbon Vodka Tequila

Now here’s how to make it…

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake. Pour contents from the shaker into your favorite rocks glass. Garnish with a lemon and lime wheel (or wedge).

Be sure to tag @drunknightin on Instagram or @antonelliedlc on Pinterest so I can see your variation/creation when you make this delicious drink!
