Hi, I'm mathilde

What’s Women’s History Month without celebrating a woman who puts black female pride at the forefront? Beyoncé has evolved over the decades, and recently created art inspired by African culture with “Black is King”. Here’s a drink dedicated to Beyoncé, from the Free The Tipple book written by Jennifer Croll and Kelly Shami

From #FreeTheTipple: “Despite her fame, Beyoncé has never forgotten where she’s from. It makes sense that she’d probably like a little bit of Bourbon- the famous liquor from the Southern United States— in her lemonade.”

Here’s what you need to make your Beyoncé

  • For the lemonade:
    • 1/4 cup Sugar
    • 2 oz Lemon Juice
    • Add 1 cup Water and Sugar to a small pot and bring to a simmer. Allow to cool and add Lemon Juice.
  • For the Cocktail:
    • 1 oz Bourbon
    • Lemonade
    • Garnish with Lemon Rounds
    • Pour Bourbon into a medium-sized mason jar full of ice. Top with Lemonade and Garnish with a Lemon Round and Straw.

Now here’s how to make it…
