Hi, I'm mathilde

Toddies by the (virtual) fire on a cold night… Perfection.

It’s been back to back snow storms and I needed a break from the iced drinks. Even though we’re nearing March, it seems like Hot Chocolate and Hot Toddies is all I’ve been craving. Who doesn’t mind a nice throwback to the holidays type of drink?

This is a perfect warming (and kind of healthy) drink… with a touch of honey, hinted with citrus, spiced with a little cinnamon and then spiked with bourbon — it’s the perfect drink I’ve been craving lately, and yes because it’s COLD out ❄️

Here’s what you need to make your Naughty and Nice Cinnamon Toddy ☕️

  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 Small Cinnamon Stick, plus more for serving
  • Orange Slices
  • 1 1/2 oz Bourbon
  • 2 teaspoons Lemon Juice

Now here’s how to make it… ☕️

In a small saucepan, bring the Water, Honey, Cinnamon, and Orange Silces to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes, remove from the heat, and let sit for 5 minutes. Stir in the bourbon and lemon juice. Pour the toddy into your favorite glass/mug. Garnish with orange slice and cinnamon stick. Enjoy!
